Ask answers contract terms from the record first

Retrieval finds the paragraph that sounds most like your question. For a number, that is the wrong instinct: the retainage clause in the exhibit, the one in the general conditions, and the one you actually negotiated can all sound alike.

So on a project, the assistant now reads the contract record first — value, retainage, dates, notice window, warranty, the clause text — exactly as applied and verified on the project's Contract page. Each one is cited as a Contract record source, and where the parse located it, the citation opens the contract at that page. Document excerpts still follow, for the surrounding language or for anything the record doesn't hold. If an excerpt disagrees with the record, the answer says so rather than quietly picking one.

Org-wide asks (no project selected) work as before.
