Billing, in three views

Billing used to open on four tiles and five stacked tables. It now opens on three views of the same money, and every number on it goes somewhere.

Pay app projects. Three money blocks lead: Outstanding AR with the aging bar on it, Unbilled & held (pay apps and invoices drafted but not sent, plus the retainage GCs still hold), and Unbilled contract balance with the unexecuted change orders that aren't billable yet. Under them, the pay app windows calendar — every SOV job, its next application, the date it bills through, and how many days the window has left, read from the project's billing cutoff day. Then the AR ledger. Click any row or any money block and a drawer opens with the breakdown, the trail of dates and payments, and the buttons that move it.

Small projects. The simplified-billing backlog: Ready to invoice lists work-complete jobs with contract value still unbilled — tick the ones you want and draft them in one go, or draft one from its row. Open invoices below it keeps the stage chips and the Mark sent / Record payment buttons, and still holds a row in place after you act on it so the list never shifts under you.

All AR. The receivables ledger across both arms, paid documents included, with filters for past due, pay apps vs invoices, and partially paid.

The rail answers three questions without a click: Aging by GC (or by client on small jobs), Blocking payment — unsigned lien waivers, unexecuted change orders, pay apps the GC sent back — and Collected in the last 30 days against the months before.

A small job's Billing tab now reads like the rest: the open invoice's number and stage stepper, lines editing in place with the totals stacked under them, the other invoices on the job below, and a rail with a Before you send checklist, the terms, the payment position and the bill-to.

Two things the old page had that moved rather than vanished: the lien-waiver list now surfaces as Blocking payment items (sign and send from the project's Billing tab as before), and the "Projects in Billing" batch worksheet is the Ready to invoice ledger.
