Email digests are actually sending now

Straight version: the digest settings worked, the sending didn't. You could pick a cadence in notification settings or set a delivery hour for a business report, and the setting saved exactly as it looked — but the scheduled job that reads those settings and sends the mail was never turned on in our hosting config. So the mail was never built and never sent. If you set a digest up and quietly concluded it was broken, you were right.

Both jobs are running now.

Notification digest — runs every morning and honors the cadence on your profile. Daily sends every day; weekly sends Mondays; off sends nothing. Anything you have already read in the app is left out.

Business report digest — runs hourly and sends the reports that are due at that hour, for the most recently completed period, scoped to each recipient's role. Delivery day and hour stay where you set them, under Reports in settings.

One thing to expect on the first one. The notification digest pulls everything unread that has not been emailed yet, so your first digest may be a pile rather than a day's worth — however far back your unread notifications go. It settles into a normal rhythm after that. If the backlog is not worth reading, mark your notifications read in the app before your next digest lands, or change your cadence.

Report digests do not have that problem. Each one covers the most recently completed period only, so the first one you get looks like every one after it.
