Goals: set a target, watch the dashboard chase it
Every shop has a number on the whiteboard. Now the dashboard carries it.
Set a target. On the dashboard, the new Goals row has a Set a target link for admins and executives. Pick a metric — bids submitted, or awarded value — give it a number, and choose a cadence: per month, per quarter, or per year. The row shows a tile per target for whatever period the dashboard is on, so MTD shows your monthly targets and QTD your quarterly ones.
Tracked from the pipeline, not from a spreadsheet. Bids submitted counts every project moved to Bid Submitted in the period; awarded value sums the contract value of every job awarded in it. Nothing to enter. The bar fills as the number climbs, the tick marks the target, and the tile reads on track when you're keeping pace with the month, behind when you're not, and hit the moment you clear it.
Your calendar, your time zone. Periods roll at local midnight, so a bid that goes out at six on the last evening of the month counts for that month.
The Goals page. Goals in the sidebar lists everything you can see, in three groups: the organization's, yours, and each project's. Admins and executives set org and project goals; anyone sets their own, private unless you choose to share it. Besides a target measured from the pipeline, a goal can be a target you log by hand — discovery calls, safety walks, anything STrOp doesn't store — where every number you log carries a note and the log is permanent, or a checklist of steps you tick off, with an optional due date.
Streaks for the habits that keep a job honest, celebrations when a bid lands, badges, and opt-in leaderboards are on the roadmap behind this.
