Pages update when a coworker saves

If two of you work the same project, you've seen it: Sam moves a change event to approved, and your change log still shows it pending until you refresh. The collaborative grids — estimate builder, SOV, pay-app lines, the dispatch board — have been live since the September 8 ship, but every other page waited for a reload.

Now every page listens. When anyone in your company saves something, the pages the rest of you have open re-fetch about a second later. The pipeline, a project's detail tabs, the change log, invoices, procurement, the directory — all of it.

A few things to know:

  • Your typing survives. A refresh brings in fresh data; it doesn't reset what you're in the middle of editing.
  • Background tabs wait. A tab you're not looking at holds the refresh and does one when you come back, so it's current the moment you look.
  • It's the save that announces it. Live updates ride the same trail as the audit log, so if a change shows in the activity feed, it also shows on your screen.
